Who's on your Team????

Pekerman's modified 4 - 3 - 3

If you had your shot to coach the National Team how would you form them?

Although I show you the Pekerman system I also included players that must be around for the next Copa Sudamericana. What formation would you recommend and what players would you have on your roster. Our aging defense is certainly a concern, but our offensive youngsters show much promise.

Defensive Breakdown:

  • Ayala is aging and may not be around for much longer he will surely be missed, but I cannot fathom him being in South Africa 2010. Replacement?????? Maybe Colochinni or Nico Burdisso for now.
  • Heinze, hope he can make it but his age is also a concern. Above mentioned are also viable options for the position.
  • Juampi Sorin, another aging back that surely will be around but may not be starting in the future. This is a concern since I can't think of anybody at this moment who can defend and attack. I think we can agree Juampi's "skills" where offensively orientated and not defensively gifted.
  • Right fullback????????

Maybe I'm counting everybody out to soon, but we still need to reinforce our defense!!!!!!!!!!!

Midfield:

  • Macherano and Gago no questions asked. This duo will bring us something we haven't achieved in over 13 years.
  • Cambiasso(26) needs to retire, he plays as old as he looks. How in God's name has this clown played for Real, now in Inter and possibly transfer to Man. U. ??????????
  • Riquelme, without going into a I'm slow and can't run bashing frenzy. I will just say his magical passes and lethargic style play hopefully will not be around for our younger, faster, and revamped offense. Aimar at 30 will show more legs, heart, and balls. Rather than a grimace and I'll stop because I think I got fouled attitude.
  • So who replaces the above mentioned thirty year olds????????????????? Castroman he may be to old by then as well. Do we try to bring Messi back and have him run at players, doesn't sound to bad!!!

Offense:

  • Crespo should retire his position as our #9... his World Cup was Japan and Bielsa F'ed that one up for a near retirement idle (Bati-Gol).
  • Take your pick: El Kun (Aguerro), Messi, Tevez, Palacio, Figueroa, Chelito (?) and more bright future players in route.

What are your comments, maybe you are a Riquelme supporter? I'm obviously not...Who will wear the Captians arm band and will he be "el Capo" (the leader) that we lacked in this Cup!!!!!!!!!!!

Publicidad Quilmes, Mundial Alemania 2006

I love this sport and not to mention these Quilmes adds.
Argentina world cup 2006

Probably one of the best video's I've ever seen. Its a mix from a Quilmes add and other pics & video. Enjoy!!!!

Top Goals of Alemania 2006

Voted the #1 goal of this World Cup. Maxi Rodriguez is arguably the most suprising player of this years Argentine squad. This goal was by far the best one of this years World Cup followed by Cambiasso and Tevez, both scored against Serbia Montenegro. The poll was taken by FIFA...

Although we fell short due to bad sub calls by our coach Jose Pekerman and a sudden disappearance by our so called star, Juan Roman Riquelme we still managed to leave an Argentine flavor in the worlds mouths. Did any goals stand out that should have been voted over our hat trick here? Perhaps Grosso's clutch strike against Germany or maybe Del Piero's touch to finish the Germans off, their is still time to vote...
